I don't use real names publicly because I'm a very private person. So call me Ray if you must. I work on this site pretty much full time now along with my partner (call her Amy). This is my story and why I offer this site for free.
As I said, I'm a very private person. I'm introverted. I don't do well in social situations, and I'm in my 40's. I work in Internet marketing. As you can imagine, my luck with dating isn't that great.
Back in 2021 in the middle of Covid, I hired a dating agency called Initiative M. They were just starting out back then. They had consultants here in Toronto where I live, so I met with one in person. She was this very pretty busty Asian girl in her 20s who had a lot of followers on Instagram (call her Elle). Just meeting with her was a treat in itself. From talking to her and because of my years of experience in marketing, I realized that what she was offering me was to market me as a product to women. But it wasn't just any random marketing. She had people work on a complete and fancy strategy of how I should be "marketed". She said her goal was to make me irresistible to some women, and she meant it. Unlike other dating agencies, they don't try to find you a date, they set you up so that dates find you.
So they created this strategy for me, and Elle gave me a plan to follow to find and attract women based on a specialized and creative strategy. I don't know if it's because I'm lazy, or a procrastinator, or because of Covid, but I didn't follow through properly on the plan and didn't meet any women to attract. After 2 months, Elle lost patience with me and introduced me to one of her friends. That would be the beautiful and amazing Amy, and we've been together ever since.
But the thing is, I've met people like Amy before (smart, pretty, outgoing), and they never gave me a second glance. So why was this different? Because of the strategy that Elle prepared. It made me aware of desirable qualities I have, and they so happen to be qualities that Amy values very much in a man. All I had to do was make those qualities obvious in a way that Amy understood and appreciated.
So the point of this story is that the idea of using strategy for dating is not mine. It came from the dating agency, and it is very effective. I even got an informal playbook from Elle, and it is one of the best uses of strategy I've seen. Apparently, they themselves based it on a formal strategy guide they got from a Reputation Management firm.
The strategy dating guide I have here and which is available for free, is written by me, but is originally based on that playbook I received from the dating agency. It is concise, to the point, and has all you need to create a dating strategy for yourself. It does require a lot of creative thinking, but if you follow it properly, you can get there. Expect to spend around 50-70 hours on it. If you're very good with business or marketing strategy to start with, you can probably cut that time in half, so maybe 35-40 hours. The reading material is short and easy to follow, but as I said, strategy does require a lot of thinking.
I put this all up originally as a blog in November 2022 at Amy's suggestion. She said it will help me make friends. Since then, I have had a lot of feedback, and also assistance requests. About half of the men were happy to follow through with the strategy and it worked wonderfully for them. As of January 2025 when I wrote this update, I've had more than 4500 comments thanking me and saying it helped them start a relationship. I've also had a lot of comments from men saying they're too busy and can't spend 70 hours on it. Others said that they have no experience at all in marketing or strategy and they didn't think they'd do a good job at it anyway. Others asked me if I could help them, and so I started doing that. At first, it was just helping answer questions, but as the requests became more frequent and more complex, and started taking too much time, I decided to start charging.
I offer all the strategy dating guide on this website for free. You don't even need to sign up or sign in. I hope it brings you a lot of success in your dating goals as it has for thousands others. Unfortunately, my time is not free though. If I were to answer all the questions I receive, I will need to spend on them 24/7, will never be done, and will starve. So starting January 1, 2025 I changed the blog into a functional website. The strategy guide is still 100% free. I still answer questions sent through the contact page, but I do that for about an hour or two a day only now. So that's less than 10% of requests answered. Sorry, I can't do more than that. But now I also offer my paid services to help those who need it (I quit my job and am doing this full time now). While I don't offer anything outside of what is available to you free in the guide to do on your own, I do understand that some people do not have the time, or may have difficulty formulating their own strategies because it requires a lot of creative thinking and experience is very useful in this case. I do have a lot of experience in business and marketing strategy, as well as have a full understanding of dating strategy (I wrote the guide after all).
